The Department of Drama Tepper Semester within the College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks a Part-Time Instructor to teach DRA 345 Dance in New York City , a three-credit hour course, during the Spring semester, 2026. Two sections are available.
The goal for this course is to help students feel prepared and confident auditioning for any show that has movement. Students will explore different audition techniques that will help them learn choreography quickly and give other tools to prepare for a life as a professional performer. Students will focus on styles that they haven't explored in Syracuse, learning choreography from a wide variety of shows and genres, including hip hop, partnering, devised movement, Fosse, improv, rock n roll and others, as well as classical Theater Dance styles.

Named for its founder, drama alumna and Tony Award-winning producer Arielle Tepper ’94, the Tepper Semester is a unique program from the Department of Drama that offers undergraduate students in advanced levels of acting, musical theater, design, and stage management the opportunity to immerse themselves in a rigorous artistic training program in the culturally rich setting of New York City.
