Sr Automation Controls Engineer: Seeking an Sr Automation Controls Engineer with minimum 7 years of hands-on, in the field experience, installing, troubleshooting, calibrating, integrating, and qualifying industrial control systems. Life Science experience is a plus. Extensive experience working with and around industrial equipment integration is a must.
Role:
+ Collaborate with IT/OT teams to integrate manufacturing equipment and systems into the data fabric architecture.
+ Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for data acquisition, transformation, and transmission.
+ Configure and troubleshoot PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and other industrial control systems.
+ Ensure secure and reliable data flow from edge devices to central data platforms.
+ Support the deployment of edge computing devices and IIoT gateways.
+ Document system configurations, workflows, and integration points.
+ Provide technical support during commissioning and post-deployment phases
Skills and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
+ 7+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
+ Strong hands-on experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider).
+ Familiarity with SCADA systems, OPC UA/DA, MQTT, UNS and industrial communication protocols.
+ Experience with IIoT platforms and edge computing devices
+ Deep expertise with Ignition by Inductive Automation
+ Experience working in GMP-regulated environments
+ Familiarity with validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ)
+ Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Working arrangements:
Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position based out at Lithia Springs, Georgia.
