    Lead Behavior Technician / RBT

     

    Start Date: ASAP

     

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)

     

    Duration: Full 2025–2026 School Year

     

    Compensation: $30/hour

    About the Role

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Lead Behavior Technician (RBT preferred) for a unique hybrid position at the elementary level. This role offers the opportunity to provide hands-on behavioral support while collaborating closely with the BCBA team.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Act as a liaison to the BCBA, providing coverage and behavioral support across classrooms

    + Assist with VB-MAPP testing and observations during available time

    + Support students in a program that serves individuals with ASD, developmental disabilities, and other behavioral/developmental diagnoses

    + Address challenging behaviors, including aggression, eloping, flopping, and self-injurious actions

    + Collect and maintain accurate behavioral data

    + Perform toileting/changing duties as needed

    Required Skills & Experience

    + Strong ABA background is a must

    + Experience working with students with ASD and behavioral needs

    + Skilled in de-escalation techniques and data collection (including program types)

    + Comfortable supporting students with significant behavioral challenges
