Summary You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST for SUBMARINE INTEGRATED PLATFORM SUPPORT in the UNDERSEA SYSTEMS & SUSTAINMENT ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT at the NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. The Secretary of War has ordered a hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoW hiring freeze. Responsibilities You will serve as Logistics Manager for VIRGINIA Class and COLUMBIA Class Submarine projects, providing integrated logistics support (ILS) for designated Integrated Logistics Support Agent functions throughout the system lifecycle. You will apply Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to identify, analyze, and resolve logistics supportability issues for New Construction and in-service submarine platform systems. You will prepare, review, and recommend actions on ILS plans for entire life-cycle support of assigned systems, developing short- and long-range plans for correction of ILS program deficiencies. You will deliver oral and written presentations and reports on logistics elements to IPTs, program managers, engineers, contractors, and fleet representatives to achieve program objectives. You will monitor reports to compare work progress, financial position, and performance against plans, identifying actual or potential problem areas and recommending solutions. You will inform Project Lead of issues/concerns with the completion of configuration management or provisioning tasks. You will maintain contact with on-site contractor personnel in order to work effectively in a teaming environment. You will communicate and coordinate high-level Provisioning, Configuration Management, or other ILS issues, concerns, deadlines, policies, and training efforts between the Team and external stakeholders. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements and performing Integrated logistics Support (ILS) tasks for submarine platforms or comparable DoW weapon/combat systems. Conducting logistics supportability analyses, Life Cycle Logistics Assessments (LCAs), or ILS planning for VIRGINIA Class, COLUMBIA Class, or similar submarine systems. Preparing and presenting clear oral and written logistics products (briefings, reports, point papers) to program managers, engineers, IPTs, contractors, and fleet customers. Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Navy activities, contractors, field activities) to identify and resolve logistics issues involving supply support, maintenance planning, DMSMS, or COTS equipment. Examples of Qualifying Experience may include: Serving as an ILS/IPS specialist supporting NAVSEA, PEO submarines, or NUWCDIVKPT on submarine in-service or acquisition programs; managing IPS elements for major submarine systems; or providing direct logistics support to a submarine platform program office.
