General Summary

Apply engineering principles and procedures to the design and implementation of assigned engineering projects.

Prerequisites

+ Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or other 4-year technical degree and related experience.

+ Prior work experience in pulp & paper industry preferred, but not essential.

+ Adequate knowledge of engineering principles and procedures.

The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

+ Prepare scope and cost estimate for assigned projects.

+ Maintains compliance with ISO Quality System responsibilities.

+ Develop an engineering, procurement and construction strategy for each project.

+ Design and implement approved projects.

+ Monitor and control project scope, schedule and cost.

+ Manage project construction.

+ Coordinate project commissioning and start-up.

+ Communicate project status to operations and maintenance.

+ Provide technical assistance to operations and maintenance to identify and solve routine problems.

Compensation and Benefits

+ Starting salary range for position: $84,800 to $127,200 annually.

+ Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.

+ Paid Holidays.

+ Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.

+ Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
