    As an Entry-Level GIS Specialist, you will have the opportunity to support the United States Geological Survey’s (USGS) National Geospatial Program, specifically contributing to the enhancement of The National Map.     Salary Range: $35,000 - $40,000

    Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or a related discipline

    + Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro for viewing, editing, or analyzing geospatial data

    + Foundational understanding of GIS and mapping concepts (e.g., geospatial data, coordinate systems, spatial databases, basic cartography)

    + Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in person or remotely, manage changing priorities, meet deadlines, and contribute effectively to a fast-paced, production-focused environment

    + Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting, data management, and documentation

    Desired:

    + Experience utilizing LiDAR data, or Global Mapper for spatial analysis, map creation, and geospatial data processing and visualization
