    Job Description

    Overview

    A global financial institution is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Risk Officer to support firm-wide risk identification, assessment, and aggregation across Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Operational Risk, and other non-financial risk categories. This role focuses on building and enhancing risk frameworks, managing risk inventories and taxonomies, and producing high-quality executive-level reporting and dashboards that inform senior leadership decisions.

     

    This position is ideal for a seasoned risk professional with deep banking experience, strong analytical skills, and a track record of shaping ERM processes in complex, regulated environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    Risk Identification & Frameworks

     

    Ensure risk-identification and assessment processes are built on sound methodologies, governance standards, and reliable systems.

     

    Maintain and enhance firm-wide ERM frameworks, including methodologies for assessing inherent and residual risk across business lines.

     

    Develop and refine taxonomies, risk inventories, KRIs, and supporting documentation.

     

    Risk Aggregation & Reporting

     

    Aggregate risk data across Credit, Market, Liquidity, Operational, and non-financial risks into cohesive enterprise-level views.

     

    Build dashboards, analysis packs, and executive-ready reporting highlighting trends, concentrations, emerging risks, and key insights.

     

    Draft risk presentations for senior leadership, ensuring complex risk themes are articulated clearly.

     

    Annual Risk Assessment

     

    Coordinate and lead components of the global annual risk assessment, partnering across businesses and control functions.

     

    Support development of new assessment methodologies or enhancements to existing frameworks.

     

    Data, Controls & Governance

     

    Partner with stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Treasury, Compliance, and Technology to ensure data consistency and governance.

     

    Maintain documentation, controls, and audit trails supporting ERM processes.

     

    Support enhancements to data lineage and risk-measurement consistency across functions.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    0+ years of experience in risk management within a financial institution, preferably within a global or international bank.

     

    Strong knowledge of Credit Risk and Market Risk concepts, including exposures, stress testing, VaR, PD/LGD/EAD, limit frameworks, and sensitivity-based measures.

     

    Experience working across multiple risk stripes: liquidity, operational, and other non-financial risks.

     

    Demonstrated experience in ERM frameworks, risk-identification processes, materiality assessments, and risk-taxonomy management.

     

    Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis; familiarity with SQL or risk-reporting tools is a plus.

     

    Strong communication skills with the ability to draft clear, concise, executive-level summaries.

     

    Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage risk initiatives involving multiple business lines. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Risk Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).

     

    Experience supporting global or enterprise-wide risk programs.

     

    Familiarity with evolving risk-governance expectations, industry frameworks, and regulatory standards.

     

    Experience building or maintaining enterprise dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
