Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Remote Mechanical Analyst. You will provide technical project/task specific work including reviewing and self-performing activities. Experience performing component stress analyses to include ASME guidelines. and analyze components using ANSYS. You will interface with design and manufacturing personnel to optimize and fabricate designs. Expect to utilize 3D CAD (ex. SolidWorks) to manipulate design models for analysis. Performing engineering calculations in support of design/modeling activities and evaluate and suggest improvements to product designs. You will evaluate and suggest improvements to quality related processes as it relates to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1 Quality Assurance programs and design/drafting activities. Salary for this position depends on experience and ranges from $150k-175K.

Skills and Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Structural) or physics is required.
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in mechanical engineering/analysis is required.
Must be proficient in ANSYS.
Must be experienced in ASME Section III and Section VIII of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
Must be able to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely written and verbal communication.
Must be a strong team player with the ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Must possess the ability and attitude to learn a variety of new procedures, processes, and tools.
Must be able to effectively prepare and deliver technical calculations, reports, and presentations.
