The role you'll contribute:

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) supports the nursing team in delivering compassionate, whole person care that reflects AdventHealth's mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ. This role adheres to institutional policies and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Under the supervision of the licensed staff, the PCT assists with daily patient care activities, including hygiene, mobility, monitoring, and comfort measures. The role fosters a healing environment by promoting safety, dignity, and respect, while maintaining a strong commitment to teamwork, service excellence, and the well-being of patients and families.

+ Functions appropriately within scope in clinical emergencies

+ Participate in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.

+ Perform duties and patient care according to policy and procedure.

+ Documents and reports all procedures accurately and in accordance with department policy.

+ Accurately performs vital signs and documents in the electronic medical record

+ Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

**Minimum qualifications** :

+ High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

+ 1 healthcare clinical experience [Required]

+ Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

+ Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required] OR

+ Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) [Required] OR

+ Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) [Required]

Preferred qualifications:

+ 5 healthcare clinical experience with proven leadership skills [Preferred]
