    PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced **Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer** to support a leading innovator in the aerospace industry. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to advanced digital avionics systems, high-assurance FPGA technologies, and mission-critical solutions that support both commercial and defense programs.

    Role Summary

    In this role, you will support advanced verification of FPGA devices for cutting-edge avionics systems. You will work alongside a collaborative team of engineers driving the development of high-integrity, cyber-secure digital solutions. Your technical expertise in FPGA/ASIC verification, UVM methodologies, and system integration will directly impact the performance and reliability of next-generation avionics platforms.

    What You’ll Do

    • Perform UVM advanced verification activities on single and multi-FPGA programs

    • Support FPGA development ranging from proof-of-concept through high-assurance, safety-critical systems

    • Collaborate with system, hardware, software, and FPGA engineers to translate requirements into comprehensive verification solutions

    • Architect UVM/UVMF test benches and develop test cases for complex FPGA designs

    • Generate verification artifacts and support milestone reviews

    • Strengthen robustness and rigor in early-stage, high-technology solutions

    • Provide support during system, software, hardware, and lab integration to identify and replicate unexpected behavior

    • Maintain regular and predictable attendance to ensure program continuity

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry

    • 3+ years of FPGA or ASIC UVM/UVMF verification experience supporting high-assurance or safety-critical applications

    • Strong understanding of digital design, verification methodologies, and integrated avionics systems

     

    This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

    • Experience leading FPGA/ASIC verification teams to deliver high-reliability solutions on time

    • Proficiency with FPGA development tools and version control in a Linux compute farm environment

    • Experience with DO-254 Level A/B development processes

    • Experience in cyber-secure development environments

    • Ability to create verification documentation (Verification Plans, VCRM, etc.)

    • Familiarity with Git, ClearCase, Teamcenter, and other version-control systems

    • Experience with avionics systems, DOORS requirements management, and traceability tools

    • Military service background

    • Advanced technical education (Master’s or PhD) with significant related experience

    Position Details

    • **Job Type:** Full Time, Consultant (6 months with possible extension)

    • **Location:** Mesa, AZ

    • **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (1st Shift)

    • **Pay Rate:** $85.00 - $100.00 per hour
