    Henry Ford Health is seeking a Pharmacy Manager for our Revenue Cycle team. This full-time role plays a key part in ensuring strong financial stewardship of pharmaceutical across Henry Ford Health Clinical Delivery System.

    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    The Pharmacy Manager reports to Director of Pharmacy and works closely with the managers and staff in other areas of the department. He/she is responsible for planning, implementing and managing patient care related pharmacy services. He/she provides leadership for professional staff and provides overall assurance that pharmaceutical services meet patient care needs and are as economical as possible.

    PRINCPLE DUTIES & RESPONSBILTIES:

    + The Pharmacy Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for promoting optimal financial stewardship of pharmaceuticals across Henry Ford Health’s Clinical Delivery System and will lead the continued development, implementation, and optimization of pharmacy revenue operations, including managing the Pharmacy Infusion Patient Access & Practice Hub. This role leads key pharmacy initiatives supporting revenue integrity and reports within Henry Ford’s Pharmacy Enterprise Shared Services.

    + Financial Stewardship & Compliance: Oversee the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to pharmaceutical coding, billing, pricing, charging, denial management, and collections. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and payer requirements to optimize reimbursement and financial outcomes. Collaborate with Finance and Decision Support to analyze proposed formulary changes for charge and revenue implications.

    + Charge Description Master (CDM) Oversight: Support oversight of the pharmacy CDM, ensuring accuracy, alignment with clinical workflows, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

    + Infusion Patient Access Hub: Support the development, integration, and growth of the infusion patient access hub providing seamless patient access, minimize claim denials, and resolve payer issues for infusion and injection therapies.

    + Data Analytics & Business Intelligence: Lead the design, implementation, and utilization of pharmacy business analytics to identify opportunities for revenue capture, audit readiness, and financial performance improvements. Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to pharmacy leadership and executive teams.

    + Education & Stakeholder Engagement: Direct systemwide education, training, and guidance for pharmacy and non-pharmacy teams on pharmaceutical revenue cycle principles, charge capture processes, and compliance best practices.

    + Denials Management & Process Optimization: Oversee pharmaceutical claim denials in partnership with Revenue Integrity and Compliance teams including root causes, develop corrective action plans, and implement strategies to reduce future denials.

    + Governance & Collaboration: Participate in Pharmacy Revenue Committee, contributing to formulary economic reviews and ensuring financial considerations are integrated into clinical and operational decision-making processes. Collaborate and support key stakeholders across the health system, including, but not limited to, hospital, medical group, finance, IT, and other key operational teams, as well as within the pharmacy enterprise.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    + Must have obtained an advanced degree (Pharm.D. or equivalent), completed a residency program approved by the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists, a fellowship in pharmacy, or have demonstrated a similar level of achievement in the practice of hospital pharmacy.

    + MBA, MHA, or advanced training in healthcare finance preferred

    + Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in managing teams and projects preferred.

    + Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives.

    + Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and performance measurement.

    + Demonstrated experience in health system pharmacy operations, charge capture, revenue integrity, or financial analytics strongly preferred.

    + Knowledge of payer billing requirements, coding standards (HCPCS, NDC, CPT), and compliance regulations (CMS, OIG) desirable.

    + Certification in pharmacy revenue cycle management by American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) required within 6 months of hire.

    + Must demonstrate leadership ability in working with and coordinating activities of others in developing improved pharmacy services.

    + Must demonstrate verbal and written communication skills which enable him/her to contribute effectively in the dissemination of information to all levels of health care personnel in the institution. He/she should likewise demonstrate a desire to contribute to the pharmaceutical literature.

    + Must demonstrate knowledge of progressive hospital pharmacy practice.

    + Must have a previous work history of reliability, dependability, and a willingness to assume additional responsibility.

    + Must be able to work with pharmacy students at all levels.

    + Should have completed research which demonstrates originality and investigative ability in an area of administrative and/or clinical pharmacy practice. The work should be suitable for publication in the pharmaceutical or medical literature.

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

    + Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Michigan. Should be Board Certified in his/her area of specialty practice.
