Product Engineer** **Specialist

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Product Engineer Specialist **,** you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

+ Expanding and managing our product and process understanding for assigned products

+ Leading product changes and supporting process changes. Ensuring they are carried out with full knowledge of the implications and according to change control procedures

+ Supporting the manufacturing plants in raw material changes, dual sourcing, cost saving and supply interruption prevention projects protecting a large global business

+ Creating, reviewing, approving and owning product standards and test methods to support customer requirements. Driving common product standards across global sites, working with product support teams in other regions

+ Assisting the plants with complaint resolution and reduction projects as needed. Using root cause analysis to identify failure modes

+ Supporting new product development teams to ensure a stable supply chain is established that delivers consistent customer value.

+ Other duties as assigned

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

+ Four (4) years combined product and/or process engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment

+ Four (4) years of statistical analysis experience or pressure sensitive adhesives experience.

+ Experience collaborating with laboratory and manufacturing colleagues in other regions of the world

Work location:

+ **Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN**

**Travel:** May include up to 15% domestic/international

**Relocation:** May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
