Responsibilities

+ Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist.

+ Candidates should have at least three years of retail experience. This role involves a high volume of data entry, and applicants must be able to meet daily performance metrics.

+ Provide accurate data entry, prescription processing, and technical support for the pharmacist within the remote home-delivery pharmacy environment.

+ Enter and process new prescriptions with a high degree of accuracy while following all state and federal regulations.

+ Perform benefits verification and adjudicate claims, resolving rejections by identifying the appropriate next steps.

+ Initiate and support prior authorization requests, including gathering clinical information, submitting forms, and following up with providers and payers as needed.

+ Communicate with patients by phone to provide updates, clarify prescription details, obtain missing information, and ensure excellent customer service.

+ Coordinate with prescribers’ offices to request clarifications, missing information, and PA-related documentation.

+ Document all interactions, findings, and interventions in accordance with policy and workflow standards.

+ Serve as a liaison between the pharmacy, patient, insurance plans, and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery.

+ Maintain required daily and quarterly productivity metrics, including data entry accuracy, call center standards, adjudication efficiency, and error-rate goals.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred. Must possess all state and local qualifications.

+ Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association preferred. Must possess all state and local qualifications.

Education:

+ High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

+ Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience,if applicable.
