    About the Role

     

    As the AEM, you will handle multiple internal and external functions of material handling operations and maintenance of a fulfillment center site. You will also provide support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

    What You’ll Do

    + Provide formal supervision to employees -- monitor the training and development of staff; conduct performance evaluations and coaching; and oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

    + Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities -- establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff; set and track staff and department deadlines; mentor and coach employees as needed.

    + Collaborate with other departments and key stakeholders to ensure that business needs are being met.

    + Review data and make recommendations for improvements to processes, procedures, and systems.

    + Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices and apply knowledge to drive innovation and growth.

    + Manage budges and resources effectively, ensuring that all expenditures are justified and aligned with company goals.

    + Ensure the team follows compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

    + Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

    + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values; influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.

    + Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.

    + Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.

    + Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.

    What You’ll Need

    + **Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree preferred in a technical field (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.**

    + **Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.**

    + **Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information; convey performance expectations and handle problems.**

    + **Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.**

    + **In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products -- including Workd, Excel, Outlook, etc.**

    + **Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.**

    + **Ability to travel as needed.**

    + **Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.**
