What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment, and respond appropriately to emergencies when necessary.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for unusual conditions.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.

+ Interact with staff, patients, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, providing assistance as needed while maintaining security-related protocols.

+ Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and ensuring only authorized individuals are permitted entry as directed by site policies.

+ Participate in emergency response activities such as evacuations or drills, supporting healthcare staff and first responders as required.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Vaccination is required for hospital assignments.

+ Assignment may include work in hospital morgue areas.

+ Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
