POSITION SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, you will join Parker Hannifin’s Engineering Co‑op Program to gain hands‑on experience across our manufacturing operations. This is a multi‑semester, alternating co‑op rotation with successive full‑time work terms at our production facility, interspersed with academic terms on campus. During each work semester, you will rotate through several engineering departments, building breadth and progressively increasing responsibility. You will help design, test, and improve production processes for new and existing components and systems—reducing cost, improving quality and performance, and streamlining manufacturing—by applying mechanical, electrical, industrial, or related engineering principles. All co‑op rotations are paid.
Final note: While these are paid work experiences, these roles do not qualify for company‑provided student visa sponsorship or relocation/housing assistance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Acquire knowledge of the operations, functions, responsibilities, and workflows of various engineering departments.
+ Observe assignments performed by others and actively participate in hands-on projects and/or special assignments.
+ Maintain communication with your program coach/mentor (if assigned) to provide feedback on departmental assignments and program improvements.
+ Attend related training (where provided) and apply what you learn to your work assignments.
+ Perform other related responsibilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
+ Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in a related engineering field (such as Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering) that maintains an Engineering Internship Program.
+ Ability to work effectively across a variety of engineering and manufacturing assignments.
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to interface effectively with all contacts.
+ Ability to work effectively with others and be a collaborative, participative team player.
+ Solid proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications; preferably, working knowledge of and experience with a CAD system such as AutoCAD or Creo/Pro-E.
