IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
+ Plan, develop, and implement comprehensive communication strategies that promote agency programs, initiatives, and priorities.
+ Serve as the primary media contact; draft press releases, public statements, talking points, and key messages for leadership.
+ Oversee digital communications across social media, newsletters, intranet, and website platforms to ensure timely, accurate, and engaging content.
+ Manage the agency’s brand identity and visual standards across all channels.
+ Develop outreach materials, public education campaigns, and agency reports.
+ Analyze communications metrics and digital engagement data to guide strategy and improve outcomes.
+ Monitor and report on media events, public statements, and social media posts.

PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)
In a state agency this class is accountable for directing the development and implementation of various programs in one or more of the following areas: legislation, regulations and/or agency communications and/or educational activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
