    Job Description

    As a Shop Laborer, you will be responsible for cleaning parts using a mild acid-based cleaning unit, followed by rinsing with water and a neutralizing solution to ensure parts are ready for shipment. You will assist in preparing parts from the machines, wash parts, lift up to 50lbs frequently, and use handheld grinders to grind, polish, and finish parts. You will also learn to read and interpret basic blueprints as needed, stack parts on carts and pallets, sort items into inventory, and use small pencil grinders. This role involves repetitive work, processing up to 100 parts at a time, and requires mechanical inclination to handle various tasks within the shop.

    Responsibilities

    + Clean parts using a mild acid-based cleaning unit and rinse with water and neutralizing solution.

    + Assist in preparing parts from machines and wash parts.

    + Lift up to 50lbs frequently.

    + Utilize handheld grinders to grind, polish, and finish parts.

    + Learn to read and interpret basic blueprints when necessary.

    + Stack parts on carts and pallets and sort items into inventory using a cart.

    + Use small pencil grinders and manage repetitive tasks for up to 100 parts at a time.

    + Maintain mechanical inclination to handle various tasks within the shop.

    Essential Skills

    + Deburring and grinding experience.

    + Performing shop labor duties reliably.

    + Experience with hand tools and power tools.

    + Attention to detail and basic math skills, including counting.

    + Use of a tape measurer.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Automotive experience.

    + Initiative to grow with the company.

    + Open to candidates with little experience looking to learn new skills.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
