    Job Title: EHS Specialist

    Job Description

    As an EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for managing programs, policies, and practices related to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. You will act as the facility coordinator and main contact for internal customers and external agencies, ensuring compliance with all EHS regulatory requirements and company standards. Your role includes conducting EHS floor walks, supporting the EHS Manager, and participating in incident investigations to ensure a safe working environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage programs, policies, and practices related to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

    + Act as the facility coordinator and contact for internal and external EHS matters.

    + Conduct EHS floor walks to ensure safety policies and regulations are met.

    + Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety regulatory requirements.

    + Support the location EHS Manager in EHS process implementation and oversight.

    + Demonstrate knowledge of EHS management systems and assist in their development and implementation.

    + Write procedures, administer requirements, and conduct recordkeeping.

    + Participate in incident investigation teams and recommend corrective actions.

    + Coordinate the development of systems to ensure incident and quarterly metric compliance.

    + Assist with site emergencies and coordinate training.

    + Provide oversight for the EHS Internal Audit Self-Assessment Program.

    + Provide direction and oversight for EHS Single Point Accountable (SPA) responsibilities.

    + Coordinate EHS training programs and provide training for employees.

    + Prepare and submit reports to company and regulatory bodies.

    + Lead risk assessment and risk prediction activities to mitigate task-based risks.

    + Support continuous improvement projects to reduce EHS risks.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with Safety, OSHA, and Environmental Health & Safety standards.

    + Proficiency in Health & Safety reporting.

    + 6+ months of experience in an EHS role.

    + Experience in EHS reporting and performing floor walks.

    + Education: High School Diploma or GED - Bachelors Preferred

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Machine shop experience is a plus.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Cleveland, OH.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
