Job Title: Cable Technician *Job Starts on Monday*

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Cable Technicians to join our team for an exciting project at data centers. Your primary responsibilities will include spotting for other techs on eco lifts, running and pulling cables between colos, dressing and organizing cables along cable trays, managing cable systems, and labeling cables. You will work at ground level or from an eco lift (10-12 feet in the air). No prior cabling experience is necessary, but it would be advantageous. We are looking for an initial 15 candidates who are comfortable working from heights and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

+ Spot for other technicians on eco lifts.

+ Run and pull cables between colos.

+ Dress and organize cables along cable trays.

+ Manage cable systems.

+ Label cables.

+ Work at ground level or from an eco lift.

Essential Skills

+ 6+ months of hands-on work experience within cabling, construction, installation, or industrial assembly.

+ Experience on construction sites for 6 months to 1 year.

+ Mechanical aptitude for 6 months to 1 year.

+ Ability to follow blueprints for assembling trays, racks, and laying out wires.

+ Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.

+ Ability to see and distinguish different colors, read small print, and hear audible signals.

Work Environment

This job is performed indoors on active construction sites. You will work five 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday (7am-5:30pm), though hours may change based on project demands. The environment includes large construction areas with moving equipment and potential hazards. Workers are required to wear steel-toed boots, a clean pair of jeans, and a work-appropriate shirt. The client provides a high-visibility vest, hearing protection, and work gloves. Be prepared to work in an environment that requires constant attention to safety and detail.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of West Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
