    Position Title Adjunct Faculty - Chemistry

     

    FLSA Exempt

     

    Full Time/Part Time Part Time

     

    Department Physical Sciences

    Location Central Campus

     

    Salary PTEA

     

    Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - as needed, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week

    Summary of Position

    To teach lecture and/or lab courses as assigned by the Department Chair. Selected applicants will be interviewed to establish a pool of approved Chemistry instructors for possible Part-Time teaching assignments in the Science Department.

     

    Minimum Required Education

     

    Masters Degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education including 18 graduate hours in Chemistry required.

     

    Minimum Required Experience

     

    Community college and/or secondary teaching experience preferred.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Ability to communicate with written and oral expertise in the English language.

    + Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture and lab experiences.

    + Computer skills including all Microsoft Office programs, downloading and installing software, sending and receiving emails with attachments.

    + Ability to successfully interact with students, faculty and staff.

    + Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture and lab experiences.

    + Ability to teach students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
