Description We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. This position involves managing and analyzing data to support key projects, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and a detail-oriented approach to data handling.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze freight invoices and transfer relevant data into Excel spreadsheets.

• Ensure proper coding of invoices to corresponding accounts while verifying amounts for accuracy.

• Conduct detailed reviews of inventory reports and other documentation to identify discrepancies.

• Collaborate with team members to provide accurate and actionable data insights.

• Perform data validation and ensure compliance with company procedures and standards.

• Generate comprehensive reports to support retail and operational decision-making.

• Organize and maintain data records to ensure accessibility and accuracy.

• Monitor freight costs and identify trends or anomalies within the data.

• Support ongoing projects by contributing to data analysis and reporting tasks.

• Utilize advanced Excel functions to streamline data processing and visualization. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis or a related field with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data.

• Experience coding invoices and ensuring proper account allocation.

• Familiarity with freight cost analysis and inventory reporting.

• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.

• Background in retail or similar industries is preferred.
