Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This Contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to key financial operations, including general ledger management and month-end closing activities. As a vital member of our accounting team, you will play a significant role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Handle general ledger accounting for assigned areas, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Execute month-end close procedures promptly, meeting established deadlines.

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

• Record accruals, expense allocations, and perform month-end adjustments.

• Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure consistency.

• Collect, analyze, and input data into the general ledger system effectively.

• Organize and maintain financial records, including filing supporting documentation.

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure proper recording of financial transactions.

• Assist in preparing budget reports and performing variance analyses to support financial planning.

• Provide support during annual audits by compiling schedules, work papers, and financial reports. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on corporate tax and financial operations.

• Proficiency in preparing corporate tax returns and managing sales tax processes.

• Strong expertise in journal entries and general ledger management.

• Familiarity with AS400 systems and month-end closing procedures.

• Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data and resolve accounting inquiries.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage financial records effectively.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
