Tessera is seeking a dependable Medium Motor Vehicle Driver to support transportation services at WSBOSC. This role is responsible for the safe, timely , and professional operation of vehicles up to 4 tons to transport personnel, trainees, and cargo as assigned.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

+ Drive vehicles and equipment to transport trainees, government, and/or military personnel and cargo.

+ Drive vehicles from individual or central loading areas to training locations, job sites, or other destinations according to the assigned schedule.

+ Perform cargo delivery as assigned.

+ Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.

+ Ensure equipment is fully operational before each shift.

+ Clean the vehicle and service the vehicle with fuel.

+ Keep accurate trip logs.

+ Perform vehicle licensing examiner functions as required .

Qualifications:

+ Highschool Diploma/GED is required .

+ 0-3 years' experience in operating a vehicle.

+ Must possess a valid US Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s Identification Card.

+ Must have current or be able to obtain Medical Examiner Certificate (DOT Card) before hire .

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance . The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

+ Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

+ May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

+ Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required .

+ Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

+ A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
