Compensation: $25.89 - $25.89/hour

Tessera is seeking a professional and organized Service Desk Operator to act as the first point of contact for all facility-related issues at WSBOSC. This role is responsible for managing service requests, assigning work orders, and coordinating communication between requesters, schedulers, and maintenance staff. By ensuring accurate documentation, timely follow-up, and clear communication, the Service Desk Operator helps maintain efficient facility operations and customer satisfaction
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
+ Manages incoming requests for maintenance, repairs, or other facility-related services, documenting them accurately in a system
+ Based on the severity and urgency of the request, assign work orders to the appropriate scheduler or maintenance staff.
+ Tracks the status of work orders, ensuring timely completion and providing updates to requesters as needed.
+ Serves as a liaison between requesters, maintenance staff, schedulers, and managers facilitating clear communication and efficient coordination
+ Keep accurate records of all work orders, maintenance activities, and related documentation.
+ Responsible for managing inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
+ Answers general inquiries about facility policies, procedures, or ongoing maintenance projects
+ May be directed to change status of work in the Centralized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Qualifications:
+ Highschool Diploma/GED is required .
+ Minimum 3 years' experience in planning/work control.
+ An equivalent combination of experience and education allowed.
+ The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple requests simultaneously, and maintain accurate records is crucial.
+ Basic understanding of facilities systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) is helpful for understanding and prioritizing requests.
+ Experience with work order management systems, databases, and other relevant software is often required
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance . The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
+ Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
+ May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
+ Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required .
+ Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
+ A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
