    Work You'll Do

    This position is focused on managing and developing products within the Pension Benefits Administration domain. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in pension benefits administration, ensuring that products meet the unique needs of this sector. Three - Five years of experience in understanding end-to-end product development cycles, developing products, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining product road maps and specifications. Supports the discovery phase of a Pension Benefits Administration product by assisting with end-to-end product development activities, including conducting market research, gathering and documenting requirements, defining product roadmaps, formulating service-to-market strategies, and facilitating stakeholder engagement to inform future product direction.

     

    + End-to-End Product Development: Lead the discovery phase of pension benefits products, including conducting market research, gathering requirements, and defining product roadmaps tailored to pension administration.

    + Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate engagement with stakeholders to inform product direction, ensuring alignment with pension benefits administration needs.

    + Lifecycle Management: Guide products through each stage of their lifecycle, from concept to market readiness, with a focus on pension benefits solutions.

    + Vendor Management: Identify and manage relationships with vendors specializing in pension benefits administration to enhance product capabilities.

    + Requirements: Convert business needs into detailed user stories and functional requirements specific to pension benefits administration.

    + Product Backlog Management: Develop and manage the product backlog in Jira, prioritizing features that address pension benefits administration challenges.

    + Collaboration with UX/UI Designers: Ensure product features are intuitive and meet user experience goals, particularly for pension benefits administration users.

    + Technical Collaboration: Partner with developers to translate pension-specific functional requirements into technical specifications.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    + Requirements Gathering: Lead the process of gathering requirements and converting business needs into well-defined user stories and functional requirements.

    + Product Backlog Management: Develop and manage the product backlog in Jira, ensuring epics, stories, and acceptance criteria are complete and prioritized.

    + Collaboration with UX/UI Designers: Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure product features are intuitive and meet user experience goals.

    + Technical Collaboration: Partner with technical developers to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.

    + Sprint Participation: Engage in sprint ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.

    + Documentation: Provide clear documentation, including process flows, functional specs, data mapping, and requirements traceability.

    + Support UAT and Enhancements: Assist in user acceptance testing, defect resolution, and enhancements by validating requirements against delivered features.

    + Subject Matter Expertise (SME): Act as a SME for pension and retirement benefits administration concepts, such as annuity calculations, eligibility rules, service credit, overpayments, and Service Purchase buybacks.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    + 3+ years of experience delivering benefits plans for clients in roles such as a product manager, benefits operations manager, benefits analysts, benefits administration, business analysis etc.

    + Experience with product management of benefits administration platforms (pension expertise preferred)

    + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

    + Ability to travel 0-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

    Preferred:

    + Pension Knowledge:In-depth understanding of pension and retirement benefits administration concepts, such as annuity calculations, eligibility rules, and service credit

     

    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,300 to $188,900.
