The Men’s and Women’s Coach is responsible for providing leadership, organization and administration of the Men’s and Women’s program

     

    Through its School of Professional and Continuing Studies, the University extends its primary undergraduate mission by offering high quality graduate studies in business, education and nursing and an array of undergraduate and certificate programs serving non-traditional students.

    Essential Duties of the Head Men’s Tennis Coach:

    + Foster a positive, empathetic environment for student-athletes.

    + Collaborate with Athletic Administration and Support Staff to support program growth.

    + Develop and implement recruiting strategies to meet goals set by the Athletic Director.

    + Achieve roster targets established by the Athletic Director.

    + Utilize department-provided recruiting software.

    + Coach student-athletes in all aspects of men’s tennis: practice planning, game strategy, skill development, communication, teamwork, and leadership.

    + Secure practice and match venues.

    + Oversee game preparation and practice scheduling.

    + Coordinate non-conference schedules with the Associate Athletic Director.

    + Manage academic expectations and requirements for team members.

    + Enforce team standards on and off the court.

    + Maintain inventory of uniforms, gear, and equipment.

    + Hire and supervise part-time assistant coach.

    + Ensure compliance with NCAA, Skyline Conference, and UMSV regulations.

    + Assist with game management operations.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor's Degree

    + 3+ years of relevant Head Coaching experience at any level

    + 5 years of relevant Assistant Coach experience at any level

    + Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

    + Effective communication skills

    + Attention to detail and administrative abilities

    + Working knowledge of Microsoft

    + Driver's License

     

    Benefits

     

    The allotted annual salary - $22,000
