Job Title: Process Engineer
Position Summary
Serves as a resource to facilitate problem solving, assists all levels of employees and management in identifying waste and improvement opportunities, instructs on appropriate process improvement methods, and leads effective implementation and use of Continuous Improvement tools and methods. This position will establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support continuous improvement initiatives. As needed, this role will measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with quality goals, integrate quality system applications between the different organizations and operations to ensure the consistent and ongoing use of quality best practices and communication of quality issues, and facilitate troubleshooting of quality issues with team, lead causal analysis activities to drive root cause and corrective action.
Essential Functions
+ Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain a comprehensive quality program aligned with company policies and industry standards.
+ Collaborate with supply chain teams to define and enforce quality requirements for external suppliers.
+ Identify training needs and ensure all employees are effectively trained on quality program requirements relevant to their roles.
+ Serve as the primary liaison with customer representatives to ensure compliance with specifications and manage corrective actions.
+ Ensure accurate transfer of customer and product specifications to production and quality control teams.
+ Lead root cause investigations and implement timely corrective and preventive actions.
+ Plan, manage, and conduct internal audits; facilitate third-party, customer, and vendor audits.
+ Develop and manage corrective action programs in response to audit findings.
+ Prepare and present quality metrics, reports, and materials for internal and external stakeholders.
+ Analyze risks and opportunities related to product quality and recommend mitigation strategies.
+ Establish and report on quality control goals and objectives to senior leadership.
+ Present KPI and scorecard metrics to support continuous improvement and performance tracking.
+ Create and maintain process flow maps to support operational clarity and efficiency.
+ Drive continual improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, and other methodologies.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
+ Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a quality-related field.
+ Experience in performing effective Root Cause analysis.
+ Knowledge of safety and environmental standards is a plus.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
+ Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015; familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 14000 is preferred.
+ Six Sigma Black Belt
+ Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
+ Effective communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
+ Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Minitab, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, etc.).
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
