Position: Material Handler

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

+ Safely load and unload goods from trucks by forklift as well as by hand

+ Organize dock space for incoming shipments

+ Maintain inventory of shipments and cargo in the warehouse

+ Pick, wrap, and stage orders to be shipped

+ Stack goods in the correct storage lanes, following inventory control instructions

+ Ensure loads are secure

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment

+ Crosstrain as needed to learn all warehouse functions

+ Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

+ Math, reading, writing, and communication skills

+ Sorting and grouping skills

+ Must be able to read and understand the difference in product labels and load ticket instructions

+ Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate controlled with exposure to hot/humid or cold weather conditions

+ Experience with cross dock, trans loads, and distribution

+ Must have at least two (2) years’ experience on sit-down forklift

+ Team oriented
