CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer - Data Platforms-Azure position for our client.
**Location:** Lisle, IL (Onsite 4 days a week)
**Duration:** 4 months
Duties:
+ Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines within the Azure ecosystem (ADF, Azure Databricks, ADLS).
+ Implement data transformations across Bronze–Silver–Gold layers using PySpark, Python, and SQL.
+ Optimize ETL/ELT processes for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
+ Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance.
+ Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup for data solutions.
+ Support data modeling, Lakehouse architecture design, and adherence to best practices.
Skills:
+ Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark/Spark SQL, Delta tables, and Parquet.
+ Solid SQL skills and understanding of data modeling and governance principles.
+ Experience building CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
+ Familiarity with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
+ Nice to have: IBM DataStage, Oracle, Microsoft Fabric, modern data warehousing techniques.
Experience:
+ 6–10 years of experience in Data Engineering within the Azure ecosystem.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
