We are looking for Maintenance Foreman that will manage the construction, maintenance, and repair activities at the Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center. Minimum Qualifications
Two years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience:
Four years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR
Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering plus two years of experience in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR
Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses plus two years of experience in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As a Maintenance Foreman you will manage the overall grounds at the Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center, which is a 90-acre facility. In this role, you will:
+ Supervise the maintenance, repair, and renovation of all facilities. (60%)
+ Directs landscaping of campground. (20%)
+ Prepares, plans, and approves requisition materials. Directs purchasing, requisitions, and warehousing of adequate inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment. (15%)
+ Directs the Grant Walker Safety Program. (5%)
Position-Specific Details:
+ Appointment Type: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
+ This position requires a Certified Wastewater Operator – Level 1 certification or the ability to obtain one within 24 months as a condition of employment.
+ Work Schedule: Saturday work for camp events and alternate schedules (evenings) during summer camp may be required.
+ Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
+ Location: Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center, Pollock, La.
+ This position is not eligible for remote employment.
