We are seeking a Workforce Management (WFM) Manager to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of our new workforce management function across the enterprise to include manufacturing sites, Timberlands field locations, and distribution centers. This role will also oversee the Payroll team and will be heavily involved with the implementation of UKG (UKG PRO WFM). Our dynamic WFM team is at the center of optimizing workforce efficiency, payroll processing, and compliance. This is a full-time management position at Weyerhaeuser’s Corporate Headquarters in Seattle, WA and reports to the Sr. Director HR Systems and Shared Services.

     

    This position must be in the Seattle office at least two days a week.

     

    You will manage the workforce management component of UKG to ensure labor optimization, governance, and legal compliance. This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency and improving service delivery through data-driven insights. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams, including business operations, HR, IT, and Finance to optimize WFM functionality and ensure realization of business targets. You will also be responsible for reconciling time keeping/absence and dashboard reporting for WFM metrics. You will also streamline processes and deliver exceptional support to internal stakeholders in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

     

    *What You’ll Do *

    * Oversee all WFM and payroll processes to ensure compliance and accuracy for the U.S. and Canadian operations using UKG.

    * Lead and execute the strategy, optimization and day-to-day management of our WFM technology.

    * Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for the UKG WFM module, including Timekeeping, Absence/Leave, Scheduling, Pay Rules, Accruals, Attestation, and Forecasting.

    * Oversee Payroll function ensuring that all pay practices and standards are followed and timely processing of payroll for all WY sites and locations.

    * Serve as strategic advisor for UKG WFM solutions, with decision authority for operational decisions associated with WFM.

    * Synthesize complex workforce data and business context to provide clear, decisive, and actionable insights that inform business and people strategy initiatives.

    * Enable cross-functional and business collaboration to drive standardization, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

    * Share and apply leading practices across the WFM and Payroll functions.

    * Coordinate policy alignment and process documentation with functional leads.

    * Ensure that configuration, processes, and policies are compliant with statutory requirements.

    * Monitor service quality, performance metrics, and vendor management.

    * Support escalated inquiries from functional leads and site managers.

    * Maintain connections and visibility into local execution for WFM and Payroll while ensuring standardization of practices and policies.

    * Manage backlog and guide the prioritization of WFM initiatives while evaluating the alignment to business strategy / ROI.

    * Manage WFM and Payroll governance and collaborate with HR centers of excellence, business operations, Finance, and IT to ensure system optimization and adherence to regulations.

    * Drive change management and lead adoption and execution of WFM functionality / engagement due to WFM or Payroll impacts.

    * Lead, coach, and develop the WFM and Payroll team, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, growth mindset, collaboration, trust, inclusion and continuous improvement aligned with our organization’s values and long-term strategy.

    * Bachelor’s Degree in HR, business, or related field.

    * 10 years of HR experience including workforce management/timekeeping system administration, including configuration and optimization, and payroll

    * 3 years of leadership experience managing teams and large-scale system environments.

    * Proven success in project management and implementation of UKG Pro WFM (or similar platforms such as Infor Time, Kronos Central, or Dimensions) in high-volume, multi-site environments.

    * Deep expertise in WFM modules: Timekeeping, Absence/Leave, Scheduling, Pay Rules, Accruals, Attestation, and Forecasting.

    * Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor high-performing teams in a fast-paced, evolving organization.

    * Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable system solutions.

    * Excellent collaboration and influence skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively negotiate with other teams to create mutually beneficial solutions.

    * Customer service orientation and passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    * Experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI/Tableau).

    *Compensation:*This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $142,700 to $214,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target. This position is also eligible for participation in our Long Term Incentive Plan.

    *Paid Time Off or Vacation: We*provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
