Job Overview
The Pharmacy Operations Program Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing a specific pharmacy operational program, department, or function within Fairview Pharmacy Services. Accountable for driving efficiency, compliance, and financial performance of the respective program, department, or function. The Operations Program Manager also regularly serves as a liaison between pharmacy operations, clinical teams, executive leadership, and various external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Operational Oversight & Workflow Optimization Lead and manage daily operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance. Accountable for direction and leadership of assigned team including scheduling, performance reviews and performance correction, and day-to-day operations. Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to ensure workflow optimization.
+ Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration Lead cross-functional project teams as required to ensure completion of department strategic goals and objectives. Mentor and train staff on program goals, procedures, and best practices. Regularly serves as a liaison between pharmacy operations, clinical teams, executive leadership, and various external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
+ Program Development & Implementation Develop and manage strategic programs in the respective department. Establish metrics to track program effectiveness and ROI; provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
+ Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and state boards of pharmacy. Familiarity with pharmacy regulations (e.g., CMS, DEA, FDA, URAC, Joint Commission). Conduct internal audits and lead efforts for corrective actions and continuous quality improvement.
+ Financial & Resource Management Assist in budget development and financial forecasting for operations and programs in assigned department. Identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize purchasing, and support contract and vendor management as needed.
+ Technology & Systems Management Oversee implementation and optimization of pharmacy information systems and technology tools for respective department. Collaborate with IT to resolve system issues and drive automation initiatives.
+ Data Analytics & Reporting Collect and analyze operational data to inform decisions and support continuous improvement within assigned department. Develop dashboards and performance reports as needed for senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ 3 years Experience in pharmacy operations, healthcare management, or program management
+ Proven track record of managing complex projects and cross-functional teams
+ Technology proficient with pharmacy systems (e.g. - Epic, Pyxis, Cerner, ScriptPro) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
+ B.S./B.A. Bachelor's Degree
+ 3 years Prior leadership experience or people management experience
+ Experience in a hospital, health system, managed care, or specialty pharmacy setting

Compensation Disclaimer
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within thisrange may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience,and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
