    PharMericais seeking a visionary and results-drivenDirector of Process Engineeringto lead our pharmacy operations improvement initiatives. This role will oversee a team of process engineers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic transformation across pharmacy workflows.

     

    Theideal candidatewill bring deep expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, a strong background in pharmacy operations (preferably LTC), and a forward-thinking approach to automation and emerging technologies including Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Agentic AI.

     

    Remoteopportunity. Applicants can live anywhere within the Continental USA.

     

    Travel: 25-50%

    Responsibilities

    + Leads and mentors a team of process engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

    + Develops and executes a strategic roadmap for operational excellence across pharmacy services

    + Champion Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and compliance

    + Identifies and prioritizes high-impact opportunities for automation, digital transformation, and AI integration

    + Collaborates with executive leadership, IT, clinical, and operations teams to align process engineering initiatives with organizational goals

    + Oversees the design and implementation of process maps, performance metrics, and reporting frameworks

    + Evaluates and implements advanced technologies (GenAI, LLMs, Agentic AI) to enhance decision-making, reduce manual effort, and improve service delivery

    + Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and support audit readiness through robust documentation and process controls

    + Leads change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies across the organization

    Qualifications

    + Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).

    + 7+ years of experience in process engineering, operations, or pharmacy leadership roles.

    + Proven success in leading Lean/Six Sigma initiatives (Black Belt certification preferred).

    + Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, with LTC experience highly desirable.

    + Demonstrated experience in implementing automation and emerging technologies in operational settings.

    + Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

    + Proficiency in process mapping, data analytics, and performance management tools.

    + Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience leading digital transformation or AI-driven initiatives in healthcare or pharmacy environments.

    + Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks in pharmacy operations.

    + Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MS in Engineering or related field).
