We are seeking a seasoned, strategic-minded attorney to serve as Head of Worldwide Litigation for Texas Instruments in the Dallas, Texas office. This leader will oversee all aspects of the company’s litigation portfolio across global jurisdictions and lead internal and external counsel. The ideal candidate combines deep litigation expertise with strong operational, managerial, and communication skills at the executive level.
Key Responsibilities
+ Set the global litigation strategy in alignment with the company’s overall legal and business goals
+ Anticipate emerging litigation risks and manage proactive mitigation across multiple jurisdictions
+ Lead a team of internal litigators and oversee a network of external law firms across regions
+ Allocate resources effectively and manage litigation budgets, billing guidelines, and matter intake
+ Evaluate exposure and legal risk in ongoing and potential litigation
+ Develop key metrics and dashboards; report regularly to senior executives and board committees
+ Partner with teams such as Compliance, HR, Finance, Risk, Government Affairs, and Business Units
+ Provide guidance on reputational, regulatory, operational, and financial implications of litigation decisions
+ Oversee selection and management of outside counsel, ensuring alignment with company objectives, cost-efficiency, and outcome quality
+ Negotiate and approve key fee arrangements and strategic engagement guidelines
+ Track and report on key metrics such as cycle times, cost savings, win rates, and outside counsel performance
+ Develop and implement litigation playbooks and standard protocols across regions
+ Leverage legal operations tools and AI to optimize matter intake, e-discovery, and reporting

Minimum Requirements:
+ JD from an accredited law school
+ Active bar membership; willingness to qualify locally as needed
+ Minimum 10 years of experience handling or overseeing significant and diverse litigation matters, including commercial litigation, patent litigation, employment litigation, and environmental litigation
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Demonstrated experience leading global litigation operations at scale
+ Experience with various arbitration tribunals
+ Expert knowledge of litigation process, strategy, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions
+ Strong leadership and team development capabilities
+ Analytical rigor, business acumen, and financial literacy to manage budgets and litigation economics
+ Superior communication skills; adept at distilling complex legal issues for business and non-legal audiences
+ Track record managing external counsel across diverse regions with consistent cost and performance controls
+ Experience with litigation technology, including e‑discovery platforms
+ Prior experience in a senior legal role at a large corporation
+ Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks, data privacy class actions, securities regulation, antitrust, and cross-border discovery
+ Experience with knowledge management systems
