Job Description

A telecom company in Bethpage, NY is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join their growing team. There will be a strong focus on Nutanix and Linux in this position. As a Nutanix-focused administrator, your day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining and optimizing the Nutanix environment to ensure stability and performance. You will support the migration of workloads from the data center to the organization’s dedicated infrastructure, build and configure servers, and assist with transitioning projects. The role emphasizes Linux system administration, including managing configurations, security, and performance tuning, as Windows systems are minimal in the data center. Additionally, you will develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks, streamline operations, and enhance efficiency across the environment.

This position is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days at their office in Bethpage. This is a 6 month contract, with the intent to convert to full time assuming performance is strong throughout contract period. The position pays an hourly rate of $50-57/hr.
