Job Description
BAE Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineering Lead withinthe F-35 Aircraft Health Management (AHM) team which includes Off-Board ForceLife Management (FLM), Data Analysis, Products, and Services (DAPS) andOn-Board Vehicle Systems (VS) Prognostics Heath Management (PHM) value streams.
The Systems Engineer will lead a smallteam of systems engineers in developing and sustaining software capabilitiesfor F-35 aircraft health management and fleet customers focused on ensuring theF-35 fleet remains highlyavailable and mission capable while driving overall fleet maintenance costsdown.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Leadership: Manage and lead a team of systems engineers across multiple value streams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
+ Requirements engineering: Perform requirements analysis, design, configuration management, and test planning using legacy and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) toolsets.
Requirements:
+ Experienced systems engineer with leadership skills.
+ Self-starter with experience in designing and developing requirements for existing and new capabilities
+ Understanding of systems engineering principles and industry development lifecycle standards.
+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills.
About the Role:
+ Requirements Management: Developing, decomposing, and verifying system requirements using legacy and MBSE tools.
+ Test Planning: Develop test plans with verification and validation scenarios.
+ Collaboration and Leadership: Working with diverse development and sustainment teams, and interfacing with various stakeholders.
+ Analysis, Documentation and Continuous improvement: Analysing new capability concepts, producing documentation for prognostics algorithms and drive a culture of process improvement and best practice
+ Configuration Management: Utilizing Configuration Management processes and tools, such as Atlassian.
+ Project Management: Managing workload, providing internal progress reports, and coordinating delivery.
+ Customer Engagement: Attending customer review meetings, providing input, and supporting contract requirements.

+ Experienced systems engineer with leadership and management skills
+ Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle
+ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
+ Promote and apply MBSE tools to teams development lifecycle processes and continuous improvement
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ _Bachelor s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or other related field, and four years of professional work experience_
+ _Experience in developing system requirements and knowledge of system engineering methodologies_
+ _Ability to work independently with general guidance from technical manager_
+ _Experience utilizing configuration management software_
+ _Ability to coordinate and manage complex work packages_
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler and/or MagicDraw
+ Experience with Oracle Databases and SQL
+ Experience being a people manager and functionally managing small teams
+ Experience delivering managing and delivering Work Packages and deliverable to a customer
+ Experience in test planning which support verifying and validating requirements through testing
+ Proven communication experience across diverse teams at multiple locations
+ Experience with the application of the Agile workflow methodologies
+ Experience with the Atlassian toolset (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket)
+ Experience with Configuration Management Plans
+ Knowledge of F-35 program and logistics associated with aircraft maintenance practices and procedures
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
