    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a C++ Engineer to support one of our DoD clients onsite in the St. Louis area. The role will be specific to a visual team that is focused on projected images during training simulations. These projectors reside inside a 360 degree dome that casts realistic images of aircraft vehicle cockpits and platforms. You will work closely with a lot of government based stakeholders and customers to work on these platforms and build the correct images.

    Compensation:

    $60/hr to $68/hr

     

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

     

    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.     Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline or computer science

    • 7+ years of experience in software engineering

    • 5 years of experience in either C++,C#, C, Rust or other programming languages

    • Well versed in Window and/or Linux distributions

    • Proficiency in Gitlab or IDE tools (VS code or Visual Studios)

    • Experience in software development/agile environment • Knowledge of aircraft systems, including weapons, night vision system, mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, flight controls, etc.

    • Active Secret Clearance

    • Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies. Ability to synthesize software architectures and designs that meet requirements, characteristics and constraints.

    • Ability to design and develop software testing processes for different units, modules or components of a software application as a combined and integrated entity. It includes deep knowledge of integration-testing tools.
