    Summary of Job Purpose:

    This role is for an Intern that will contribute to the implementation of solutions intended to support the strengthening of competitiveness of MRO and OEM production

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    As an Operational Excellence Intern, primary role will be to support various Individual Operating Units (IOUs) in their journey to enhance operational efficiency, achieve quality goals, and foster continuous improvement.

    The following duties and responsibilities are aligned with the priorities outlined for the role:

    - Support the Achievement and Sustaining of 5S in All Areas

     

    - Help Develop QRQC Maturity Across Operating Units

     

    - Support in Reducing Export of Non-Quality and Cost of Non-Quality (CoNQ)

     

    - Enhance Operational Excellence and Competitiveness

     

    - Improve Planning and Scheduling Processes/Tools

     

    - Improve Reliability of Deliveries in a Challenged Supply Chain Environment

     

    - Support Operating Units with One Safran Waves and Ramp Up Workshops

    Scopes and Accountabilities:

    - He / She has authority to act at his own discretion, with routine review or audit by his/her manager.

     

    Candidate skills & requirements

    Desired Competencies; Education / Knowledge / Skills and Abilities:

    - Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.

     

    - Proficiency in data analysis and performance tracking, with the ability to generate actionable insights.

     

    - Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills, particularly in the context of quality and operational efficiency.

     

    - Strong communication and presentation skills to facilitate workshops and report progress to stakeholders.

     

    - Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

     

    - This internship offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the operational excellence journey of various Operating Units and develop valuable skills in project coordination and continuous improvement.

    Physical Requirements:

    - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

     

    - The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit, talk and hear.

     

    - The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
