IT Director of Payments
The Payments/Movement Engineering IT Director leads the strategy, development, and operations of the organization’s payment technology ecosystem. This role is responsible for ensuring secure, scalable, and innovative payment solutions that support business growth and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
+ Leads the design, development, and maintenance of payment and money movement platforms, including transaction processing, fraud detection, and integration with financial institutions and third-party providers.
+ Oversees the engineering teams responsible for building and supporting payment gateways, APIs, and real-time transaction systems.
+ Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as PCI-DSS, NACHA, and other financial data protection requirements.
+ Drives innovation in payment and money movement technologies, including mobile payments, digital wallets, tokenization, and emerging fintech solutions.
+ Collaborates with product, finance, operations, and risk teams to align payment capabilities with business goals and customer needs.
+ Evaluates third-party payment and money movement solutions for performance, reliability, and business optimization opportunities
+ Monitors system performance and reliability, ensuring high availability and low latency for mission-critical payment and money movement services.
+ Mentors and develops engineering talent, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
+ 5 years in software engineering or IT leadership roles
+ 3 years specifically in payments or financial technology preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
+ 7+ years of experience in software engineering or IT Leadership roles
+ Previous Fintech experience strongly preferred
+ Money Movement or Payments certification
Educational Requirements
+ University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.

**Pay Range** $150,000 - $202,900
