    Job Description

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities** **:

    + Provide training for quality-related tools, statistical techniques and manufacturing skills

    + Investigate customer complaints, warranty returns and factory issues to determine root causes and implement corrective actions

    + Work with development engineering and operations to ensure products are manufactured to defined requirements and meet customer requirements

    + Report on the performance of the quality system for review and as a basis for improvement

    + Manage the internal audit program and provide new auditor training as needed

    + Oversee the corrective action program and ensure improvement actions are effective

    + Review and approve engineering change order (ECO) requests and nonconforming material dispositions

    + Watch over the incoming inspection process and calibration program and make improvements as needed

    + Maintains professional and technical knowledge via workshops; professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices and participating in professional societies

    + Administer the electrostatic discharge (ESD) prevention program and provide training for affected personnel

    + Organize and promote company-wide quality and process improvement initiatives

    + Ensure products and processes meet all manufacturing requirements and test standards

    + Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees)

    Education and Experience** **:

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering

    + Five (5) years of quality assurance experience in a medium or large-size manufacturing company

    Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** **:

    + Proficient in the use of office computers and software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office tools & ERP systems)

    + Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills (both written and verbal) along with presentation skills. Able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization

    + Knowledgeable in Quality Systems and ISO 9001requirements

    + Able to perform capability studies, gauge R & R analysis and determine statistical sample sizes

    + Hazardous Communications

    + ISO 9001 QMS standard

    Personal Protective Equipment** **:

    + The use of safety glasses is required when working in production and lab areas and when visiting suppliers and customers at their facility

    + Additional protection may be required while working with machinery and equipment

    Physical demands** **:

    + Regularly required to talk or hear and frequently stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms

    + Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds

    + Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

    + Periodic travel up to 10% of the time. This includes both domestic and international travel; day trips as well as overnight travel for multiple days

    Work Environment** **:

    + Clerical, office, as well as a factory setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers as well as automated and mechanical inspection equipment

    + Frequently exposed to odors, fumes, dust or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud

     

    Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

    Salary Range:

    $77,000.00-$102,600.000

    The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
