As Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician II, you will perform preventive and corrective equipment, structures and system maintenance throughout the facility. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and initial resource for related questions and concerns while assisting the department with fulfilling essential day-to-day operations.

A caregiver in this position works days 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

+ Serve as a go-to contact within certain projects across the enterprise.

+ Ensure policies and procedures are communicated and upheld by staff.

+ Monitor department activities and provide coaching and feedback to team members when appropriate.

+ Perform routine electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting maintenance repair work.

+ Perform utility and structural repairs alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons as needed.

+ Document and maintain records of inspections and work performed pursuant to departmental policies and warranty/vendor requirements.

+ Assist co-workers with maintenance-related questions, comments and concerns in a Subject Matter Expert capacity.

+ Work across multiple Cleveland Clinic locations as needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

+ High School Diploma/GED

+ Four years of work experience in general electric, plumbing, carpentry, painting, mechanical repair, machinery/millwright or HVAC, OR completion of a formal training program in building repair to include general electric, plumbing, carpentry, painting, maintenance repair, machinery/millwright or HVAC

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

+ Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time

+ Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

+ Ability to move/transport items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)

+ Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)

+ Ability to move/transport carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)

+ Ability to distinguish color

+ Ability to climb ladders ​

Personal Protective Equipment:

+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $25.13

Maximum hourly: $38.33
