    Job Skills / Requirements

     

    Owens Realty Services is looking for a Chief Building Engineer to join their team! The successful candidate will direct maintenance staff, and be responsible for the maintenance of a prestigious school building. This position would be responsible for maintaining the property in a safe, attractive, comfortable condition. Developing and executing maintenance functions and supervising maintenance work-flow. 30% of time to be spent in supervisory and administrative functions, 70% of time to be spent “hands-on” performing maintenance related issues.

    Chief Building Engineer Duties:

    -Responsible for preparation of monthly reports on maintenance, scheduling, work orders and other onsite activities.

     

    -Maintains relationships with other staff members, building tenants, residents and vendors.

     

    -Directs the activities of the Maintenance Team.

     

    -Maintains relationships with all contractors and contractors’ representatives working on the property.

     

    -Satisfies service requests per work orders to include plumbing, electrical, tile and carpentry tasks, following company and owner procedures

    -Schedules and coordinates ongoing maintenance of facility, including, preventative maintenance of the building’s air handlers, roof top exhaust fans, plumbing , electrical and related tasks as necessary to operate the facility at peak performance including:

    -Perform routine maintenance and inspections of grounds, buildings, structures, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, HVAC equipment and other facility components.

     

    -Manages the approved budget for the effected departments.

     

    -Responsible for maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies;

     

    -Reports all needed repairs to Facility Manager;

     

    -Assists with other types of maintenance when necessary;

     

    -Attends all instructional classes conducted by management.

    -assign and manage work flows for both themselves and their staff

     

    -identify issues and preventative maintenance

     

    -follow and give direction

     

    -work independently or in a group.
