Key job responsibilities
- Design and maintain comprehensive financial metrics, reports, and dashboards that drive strategic decision-making
- Execute core planning processes including month-end reporting, quarterly estimates, and annual forecasting
- Collaborate closely with senior leaders to provide actionable financial insights and cost-benefit analyses
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies, including AI-driven automation initiatives
- Communicate complex financial information clearly and persuasively to non-finance executives
A day in the life
Your day will be a blend of collaborative problem-solving and analytical deep-diving. You'll engage with business partners across global teams, translating intricate financial concepts into clear, actionable recommendations. From refining financial models to creating compelling dashboards, you'll leverage your analytical skills to illuminate critical business trends and opportunities.

We are the strategic financial nerve center for Amazon's People Experience and Technology organization. Our team is committed to delivering nuanced insights that inform enterprise-wide decisions. We pride ourselves on continuous innovation, collaborative problem-solving, and creating meaningful impact through financial expertise.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or CPA
- 3+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
