This industry leader specializes in designing, manufacturing, and assembling electrical controls, enclosures, irrigation pumps and controls, pump stations, water purification systems, and custom metal fabrications. We serve various industries with both standard and custom products, including water pumping, oil production and refining controls, wastewater treatment, and more. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support production operations by designing tools and fixtures, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring a smooth and efficient production flow. This role suits an engineer who relishes hands-on problem-solving, CAD design, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

    Responsibilities

    + Design and optimize production flow, tools, jigs, and fixtures using 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

    + Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.

    + Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to prototype, test, and implement tooling and process solutions.

    + Identify and execute process improvement projects to increase throughput, reduce waste, and enhance quality.

    + Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting manufacturing issues as they arise.

    + Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.

    + Support new product introduction (NPI) by developing tooling and processes for new parts and assemblies.

    + Assist in maintaining and improving process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

    + 1-3 years of experience working as a manufacturing or mechanical engineer.

    + Proficiency in 3D CAD design and drafting using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, or similar software.

    + Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, sheet metal, or composites.

    + Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and continuous improvement tools.

    + Understanding of GD&T, design for manufacturability (DFM), and design for assembly (DFA).

    + Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Familiarity with panel assembly, metal fabrication, or electro-mechanical system builds is preferred.

    + Experience with automation, PLCs, or manufacturing execution systems (MES) is advantageous.

    + Certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP, or Lean Practitioner are a plus.

    + Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively across functions.

    Work Environment

    This position is based in an office environment with time spent on the factory floor collaborating with the manufacturing team. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, with a start time between 6 AM and 9 AM, totaling a 40-hour workweek.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Dallas, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
