Job Title: Phlebotomist
Job Description
Join a large medical group as a Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant, where your expertise will play a crucial role in patient care. With a focus on all age groups from neonatal to geriatric, we are seeking individuals with a minimum of six months to one year of experience in hospital, acute, or inpatient settings. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with daily location changes and split shifts, and possess excellent customer service skills to uphold the organization's values. Proficiency in computer systems, particularly LIS and Cerner, is highly desired.
Responsibilities
+ Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients from neonatal to geriatric age groups.
+ Draw blood for 40-50 patients per shift in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
+ Travel between multiple locations daily and manage split shifts effectively.
+ Maintain excellent attendance and professional behavior.
+ Uphold high standards of customer service while interacting with patients and colleagues.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum six months to one year of phlebotomy experience in acute or sub-acute settings.
+ Valid CPT CA license.
+ BLS certification.
+ Experience with neonatal and pediatric draws beyond classroom training.
+ Proficiency in computer systems, particularly lab systems like Cerner.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in hospital settings is preferred.
+ Outpatient experience with high draw volumes is beneficial.
+ Experience with pediatrics and inpatient settings is an advantage.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
