Job Title: Electrical Distribution Design EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Distribution Design Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing detailed engineering designs for overhead distribution systems and creating comprehensive construction packages. The successful candidate will apply relevant codes and standards to all design work and conduct field work to validate existing conditions.
Responsibilities
+ Develop detailed engineering designs for overhead distribution systems, including feeders, transformers, fuses, capacitors, and pole lines.
+ Create construction packages, including material lists, site drawings, and schematics.
+ Apply relevant codes and standards, such as NESC and NEC, to all design work.
+ Conduct field walkdowns and surveys to validate existing conditions and gather data for design.
Essential Skills
+ Design and engineering skills in power distribution.
+ Experience in electrical design and distribution engineering.
+ At least 2 years of power distribution experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency in CAD software (preferably AutoCAD; MicroStation is acceptable).
+ Experience with PPL is a plus.
+ Reliable transportation for field visits.
Work Environment
This is a remote position, but requires field visits to various site locations, including Allentown, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Scranton, Bloomsburg, and Williamsport, PA. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blue Bell, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
