We are seeking a Mid-Level Water/Wastewater Conveyance Engineer to join our Holladay, UT office, serving the greater Salt Lake City area. Our Holladay office serves clients across the Wasatch Front and southern Utah, including major water districts and municipalities.
What You’ll Do
• Lead design tasks for water and wastewater conveyance improvements, including large-diameter pipeline design, route studies, alignment alternatives, and hydraulic modeling
• Integrate trenchless pipe design, condition assessment, and pipeline rehabilitation planning into project delivery as needed
• Develop engineering drawings and specifications for steel pipe, valve vaults, surge controls, and pressure regulation systems
• Collaborate with surveying, civil, geotechnical, and process mechanical teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Work alongside water and water treatment professionals to provide comprehensive project support
• Support construction oversight, permitting, and client engagement
• Contribute to Jacobs’ knowledge base and mentor junior engineers
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (other closely related engineering disciplines considered); MS preferred
• 4-8 years of experience in water/wastewater conveyance design
• EIT required; PE license preferred
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu, and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerCAD, HAMMER)
• Familiarity with GIS tools (ESRI ArcGIS), Bentley MicroStation, Revit, and Naviswork
• Curiosity to leverage Artificial Intelligence applications for design optimization, predictive modeling, or quality assurance
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
