Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Infusion Nurse, you will administer intravenous (IV) therapies and medications, ensuring safe and effective patient care delivery.
Every day you will assess needs, manage infusion devices, meticulously prepare and administer medications, educate patients, and monitor for complications.
To be successful, you will demonstrate exceptional clinical assessment, precise technical proficiency, compassionate communication, and adherence to sterile and safety protocols.
+ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Facilitate care for the patients at all phases of the process consistent with the documented protocol and established standards.
+ Provide patient and family education/teaching.
+ Ensure labs, radiographs, and other appropriate tests are done and the results are available prior to the patient's appointment. Document all the patient's' medication and complete questionnaires.
+ Maintain documentation consistent with protocol/clinical study guidelines.
+ Communicates patient status on a regular basis to the physician and other members of the health care team.
+ Maintains equipment according to quality control standards.
+ Communicates/coordinates care of patients with home health agencies when appropriate.
+ Maintains sharp assessment skills based on clinical observation, vital signs, verbal and nonverbal communication.
+ Uses the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) effectively.
+ Act as patient advocate between the physician and ancillary services.
+ Ensures room readiness.
+ Safeguards client confidentiality. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
+ Maintain written and computer documentation of all treatments provided and paperwork required for reimbursement purposes.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare, administer, and disposes of antineoplastics, following standards set forth by OSHA.
+ Effectively triage patients by phone.
+ Administer injections.
+ Miscellaneous duties related to the care and treatment of patients and their families.
Job Requirements
Required
+ 3 years nursing experience. When staffing can support a new graduate RN, applicants without the requisite experience may be considered.
+ Registered Nurse License : CA
+ Basic Life Support - CPR
+ Cancer Chemotherapy Provider
Preferred
+ Oncology Certified Nurse, upon hire

Pay Range
$55.55 - $79.06 /hour
