Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our RN Nurse Shift Manager, you will lead and support frontline nurses, directly enhancing patient care quality through your valuable expertise in acute care, LTC, or nursing home settings.
Every day, you will oversee assigned nursing staff and ensure optimal patient outcomes through strategic patient assignments, continuous assessment, monitoring, and education on care protocols. You will proactively manage staffing needs, institute emergency procedures, and meticulously oversee supply management and patient record updates for seamless unit readiness across all shifts.
To excel in this role, you must embody accountability, confidence, and exceptional communication. Your ability to navigate challenging conversations is paramount, ensuring superior unit performance, fostering team development, and upholding the highest standards of patient care.
+ Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift. Assigns patients to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the patient's condition and the employee's skill level.
+ Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary.
+ Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them.
+ Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
+ Associate's Degree in Nursing (e.g., ADN).
+ Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
Licensure:
+ Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of practice
+ Basic Life Support (BLS)
+ Other credentials or credential modules may be required.

Pay Range
$50.39 - $76.21 /hour
